CBCB is looking for a Bioinformatics Engineer, Software Engineer, or Web Architect with strong programming skills, particularly C++ and Perl, and with experience in databases (MySQL required, other languages a plus), to work on multiple projects in the Center. Steven Salzberg's lab is looking for one or two post-doctoral
fellows to participate in research on computational gene
finding, with particular emphasis in eukaryotic genomes, and on genome
assembly tools and algorithms that address the requirements of
novel
DNA sequencing technologies. A Ph.D.
in Computer Science or bioinformatics is preferred, however
applicants with comparable Ph.D. training and very strong programming
skills
will be considered.
